Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. This role involves accurately dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of medication procedures and a commitment to patient safety. Responsibilities
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy guidelines
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and organising medication orders for patients
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries and offering medication advice under supervision
- Maintain meticulous records of dispensed medications and ensure compliance with legal and safety standards
- Support inventory management by stock checking and reordering supplies as needed
- Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health, safety, and hygiene regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient treatment plans
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or dispenser is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
- Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A recognised qualification in pharmacy assistance or related field is advantageous
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to professional standards
