Van Delivery Driver (C1 Licence Required)
Manningham Concrete is currently looking for a7.5tn Delivery Driver to join our successful independent builders' merchant based in Bradford.
We offer a competitive basic salary, guaranteed 40 hours per week and incentivised overtime.
Since our formation in 1963, Manningham Concrete has grown from a single branch to become the largest independent builders' merchant in Bradford.
The role involves driving our 2020 Iveco Daily 70C18 carrying out multi-drop deliveries of building materials, timber, plumbing, kitchens and bathroom products to both trade and retail customers across the Bradford, Halifax and Leeds areas. You will play a key role in delivering outstanding customer service while ensuring deliveries are completed safely, accurately and efficiently.
Your key responsibilities as a Van Delivery Driver include:
- Completing multi-drop deliveries to customers throughout Bradford, Halifax and Leeds.
- Safely loading, securing and unloading your vehicle.
- Delivering a wide range of building materials, timber, plumbing, kitchen and bathroom products.
- Handballing materials into customers' homes and commercial premises where required.
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects promptly.
- Providing a polite, professional and helpful service to all customers.
- Ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and on time.
- Obtaining proof of delivery and completing all required paperwork or electronic records.
- Maintaining high standards of vehicle cleanliness and presentation.
- Adhering to all road traffic legislation, health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Assisting in the yard or warehouse when required.
- Representing Manningham Concrete professionally at all times.
To be successful in this Van Delivery Driver role you will need to be:
- Hold a valid Category C1 (7.5 tonne) driving licence.
- Hold a valid Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Be an experienced and confident delivery driver, ideally with multi-drop experience.
- Have excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Be reliable, punctual and well organised.
- Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Be presentable, approachable, positive and polite.
- Be motivated, energetic and committed to delivering excellent service.
- Be flexible to meet the needs of the business.
- Be physically fit, as the role involves frequent manual handling and handballing of building materials, kitchens and bathroom products into customers' properties.
