Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our vibrant hospitality environment here at Forss House. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for excellent service, and a solid background in food and beverage management. This role involves supervising bar staff, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The position offers an opportunity to lead a motivated team in a fast-paced setting, ensuring smooth service during shifts and maintaining the organisation’s reputation for excellence.
Live in available, two bedroom flat, no bills, driving licence and transport required.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of bar staff, ensuring efficient service delivery.
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety within the bar area.
- Serve beverages to customers in a professional manner while providing excellent hospitality.
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
- Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching to develop skills related to food preparation, serving, and customer service.
- Handle customer enquiries or complaints promptly to uphold the organisation’s reputation for outstanding service.
- Assist in organising promotional events or special occasions to enhance customer engagement.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen experience.
- Previous restaurant or hotel experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and procedures.
- Experience in team management, leadership roles, or supervising bar staff is essential.
- Knowledge of serving techniques and hospitality best practices.
- Barista experience is advantageous but not mandatory. Pay: £14.50-£15.50 per hour
