The Ferguson Fawsitt is a busy food led pub with the beautiful village of Walkington, near Beverley.
We are a popular, welcoming pub at the heart of our community, known for great service, fantastic drinks, and a brilliant atmosphere. We are looking for an energetic, hands-on assistant Pub Manager to join our leadership team, support our General Manager, and help us fulfil our potential.
As assistant Manager, you will be the driving force with in the pub. You will lead by example, motivate our team during busy service rushes, while making sure our customers are looked after.
There are many opportunities to develop the pub as we also have a large function room, which in-turn will help your skills and training into full pub management.
Key Responsibilities
- Shift Leadership: Run smooth, high-energy front-of-house and bar operations.
- Team Development: Train, coach, and motivate staff to deliver exceptional service.
- Guest Experience: Interact with regulars and visitors to build a loyal customer base.
- Business Support: Assist with stock control, ordering, and daily cashing up.
- Health & Safety: Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and licensing compliance.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience within a pub, bar, or restaurant.
- A passion for hospitality and a natural ability to connect with people.
- A calm head under pressure and a proactive problem-solving attitude.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
