Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team in handling a wide range of electrical repairs, maintenance, and installations across a variety of systems and fixtures. The ideal candidate will must have Level 3 Award in BS 7671:2018, specifically within a maintenance and repairs environment, with the ability to respond to a wide range of reactive maintenance tasks efficiently and professionally.
Expected start date: 1st September 2026
Responsibilities:
- Electrical installation, maintenance, testing and fault-finding.
- Working on commercial or industrial electrical systems.
- Carrying out inspection and testing in accordance with current BS 7671 (18th Edition).
- Reading electrical drawings, schematics and specifications.
- Installing containment, cables, accessories, distribution boards and associated equipment.
- Identifying faults and completing remedial works safely and efficiently.
- Completing electrical certificates, test results and job documentation.
- Ensuring work complies with health & safety requirements and relevant regulations.
- Liaising with customers, site managers, contractors and other trades.
- Working independently and supervising apprentices or other electricians where required.
- Maintaining tools, equipment and company vehicles in good working order.
A Hebs Group Ltd Van is provided, along with fuel card and tools required for jobs. Due to insurance restrictions all drivers of company vehicles must be over 24 years of age, please confirm this during your application.
The Hebs Group Ltd Head Office and Warehouse is situated at 4 - 6 St Johns Road, Waterloo, L22 9QG - however our maintenance works service various clients across the Northwest and surrounding areas.
Experience
- Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations – BS 7671:2018 (18th Edition).
- Proven experience working as an electrician within reactive maintenance and repair environments.
- Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across a range of electrical systems.
- Able to work independently and respond efficiently to urgent and emergency electrical repair situations.
- Good knowledge of electrical regulations, BS 7671 requirements and health and safety procedures.
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills, with a professional and client-focused approach.
- Confident working independently or as part of a team.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
