New Image Hair Salon is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Modern Apprentice Hairdresser to join our friendly team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone aged 16–24 with a passion for hair, beauty and customer service to gain a nationally recognised SCQF Level 5 Hairdressing qualification while earning and learning in a busy salon. The apprenticeship typically lasts 12–24 months and includes hands-on salon training alongside support from Ayrshire College.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Welcoming clients and providing excellent customer service
- Supporting reception duties and using the salon booking system
- Shampooing and conditioning hair
- Preparing clients for salon services
- Assisting stylists with cutting, colouring and styling services
- Maintaining a clean, professional salon environment
- Developing practical hairdressing skills and industry knowledge
What We're Looking For:
- Aged 16–24 and eligible for a Modern Apprenticeship
- Passionate about hairdressing and the beauty industry
- Friendly, positive and eager to learn
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual and well-presented
- A team player who enjoys working in a busy salon
- Committed to developing new skills and building a career in hairdressing
