Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team. Duties
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure smooth operational flow and high standards of food preparation and presentation
- Oversee all aspects of food production, including menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and portion control
- Manage daily kitchen activities, including scheduling staff shifts and delegating responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the kitchen
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste
- Train and mentor junior staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and customer service standards
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction
- Develop innovative menus that reflect current trends whilst catering to dietary requirements and customer preferences
- Maintain a positive working environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
- Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques
- Demonstrable leadership abilities with experience managing a diverse team of kitchen staff
- Sound knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
- Experience in food production, menu development, and inventory control
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
- Strong communication skills to liaise confidently with staff and suppliers
- Previous restaurant experience is essential; hospitality background highly desirable
- A passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences through innovative cuisine and outstanding service
Pay: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
