Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Automotive Trimmer / Upholsterer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring and customizing vehicle interiors with precision and care. Your expertise will help bring new life to classic cars, super cars, and motorcycles by expertly handling upholstery, headliners, and seat repairs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your mechanical knowledge and craftsmanship in a vibrant automotive environment.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, sew, and install upholstery materials with accuracy to ensure a perfect fit
- Replace vehicle headliners and repair or restore car seats to original or custom specifications
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete upholstery tasks
- Perform heavy lifting when handling large or bulky materials and components
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
- Inspect finished work thoroughly to ensure it meets client expectations and quality benchmarks
Qualifications
- Proven experience in automotive trimming, upholstery, or related craftsmanship roles
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle interior components and repair techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools such as scissors, staple guns, sewing machines, and screwdrivers
- Experience using power tools safely for cutting, shaping, and installing upholstery materials
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or heavy materials or parts
- Attention to detail with a keen eye for quality craftsmanship
- Excellent problem-solving skills to address custom fitting challenges
