.Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Tool Cleaning Operative to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of injection moulding tools, helping to maintain optimal tool performance and product quality. Please note: this position does not involve tool repairs.
Hours Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm
33 Days Holiday (including bank holidays)
Christmas/ New year shutdown (does come out of Holiday days)
Must hold a full Driving licence
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily tooling planned preventative maintenance activities.
Safely dismantle and reassemble injection moulding tools for cleaning.
Clean mould surfaces, cavities, cores, and other components using appropriate methods (e.g., ultrasonic cleaning, manual scrubbing, chemical cleaning, polishing).
Inspect tools for contamination, wear, or damage and report findings to the Toolroom Manager.
Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, tool condition, and any issues identified.
Ensure safe use and correct storage of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
Support production by ensuring tools are cleaned and ready for use within required timeframes.
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate tool cleaning schedules.
Always follow company procedures and health & safety guidelines
Requirements
Must hold a Full Driver’s License.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
