We are looking for a leather worker. The main duties of this role include picking and checking leathers; using hand-tools and machinery to cut hides to order; manual finishing techniques including foaming/cladding/stitching/edge staining; through to construction of the finished leather goods.
Experience of leather sewing is a distinct advantage but full training will be provided.
This role would suit someone who is extremely practical; highly motivated; is keen and prepared to learn new skills in a factory environment; is able to work under supervision; and can work to fixed deadlines.
The role is very hands on and will require good organizational and excellent communication skills.
Previous experience of working with leather and using hand-tools is essential.
