We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Cook to join our team at our care home in Surbiton. If you’re a chef who loves to get creative in the kitchen and take pride in making a difference to the lives of others, we want to hear from you.
What We Need:
As a Cook at our care home, you’ll be responsible for preparing nutritious, delicious meals that cater to the specific dietary needs of our residents. You’ll have the freedom to create varied menus that reflect the seasons, ensuring every meal is a treat for the taste buds while maintaining strict adherence to dietary requirements.
You’ll be in charge of ordering your own ingredients, managing stock levels, and working within a budget to ensure high standards of service at all times. Health and safety are paramount, so you'll need to ensure that all meals are prepared in accordance with regulations.
You’ll also play an important role in building relationships with our residents, making sure their personal food preferences are respected, and providing them with not just meals, but a positive experience.
What You’ll Need:
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 or equivalent in Catering or a related field
- Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate (minimum)
- A passion for food and a creative flair in the kitchen
- Ability to cater for special dietary requirements
- Strong communication skills and a team player mindset
- A caring attitude, with respect for the individual choices and dignity of each resident
- Motivation and reliability
