Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide high-quality support to individuals in need of assistance, particularly seniors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of clients by following care plans and maintaining a safe, supportive environment. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to supervise and lead care activities effectively.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual client needs, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Supervise clients during activities to promote independence while ensuring their safety.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on client status and any changes in condition.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any significant observations regarding the client's health or behaviour.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring they have access to necessary resources.
- Foster a positive environment that encourages social interaction and emotional support for clients.
Experience
- Previous experience in senior care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide others in providing excellent care.
- Proficiency in IT systems for maintaining records and communication is advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on empathy, patience, and understanding when dealing with clients.
