Solar Sales Consultant
Salary: £20,000 basic + on-target earnings of £60,000–£80,000
At Solar Maintenance Solutions, we help UK homeowners take control of their energy bills and be part of the clean energy transition. Demand is growing rapidly, and we’re expanding our sales team to keep up.
This is not cold calling or door-to-door sales. Our in-house team books qualified appointments for you. Your role is to meet customers, explain the benefits of solar, and close the deal.
What You’ll Do
- Attend pre-booked, qualified appointments
- Advise homeowners on solar suitability, savings, and finance options
- Build trust through honest, knowledgeable consultations
- Present proposals clearly and close deals confidently
- Support customers from the first meeting through to installation

About You
- Positive, motivated, and enthusiastic attitude
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential sales (solar or home improvements preferred)
- Confident presenting and closing in a home environment
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Organised, proactive, and results-driven
- Comfortable using CRM systems (HubSpot experience an advantage)
- Full UK driving licence and your own vehicle
- Flexible to work occasional evenings or weekends
Nice to Have
- Experience in solar or renewable energy
- Knowledge of finance options or government incentive schemes
- Ability to explain technical details in clear, simple terms
