We are seeking a proactive and organised General Practice Assistant (Non-Clinical) to join our team. This vital role supports the smooth operation of the GP medical practices by managing administrative tasks, coordinating patient communications, and ensuring efficient office workflows. Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
£13.63 per hour plus NHS Pension

Job Responsibilities:
- Working with on-call team, ensuring the daily requests for GP appointments are dealt with accuracy and in a timely manner
- Adapting to individual clinicians as you work alongside the on-call team
- Completing the GPA team tasks. Reassigning tasks if the clinician is on annual leave
- Reassigning pathology depending on annual leave or clinicians who work on a part-time basis
- Filing bowel and smear results
- Process and Invite patients in for their cervical screening using the portal.
- Completing repeat blood test team tasks, adding blood forms at the request of clinicians
- Actioning various batch reports and completing system one updates
- Have a good understanding when to send FP69’s
- Managing and having a clear understanding of footfall and accurx system
- As and when undertaking various other admin roles as appropriate to cover sickness and annual leave
- Following the GP planner and annual leave on SystmOne, plan and add all clinical and additional staff’s clinic lists and any ad-hoc rota amendments.
Qualifications
- Strong IT proficiency in Word and Excel
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn on the job is required
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage time efficiently
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
