We are seeking a passionate, reliable Chef de Partie to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years previous experience with preparing food and restaurant industry experience. The successful candidate must be confident in taking direction, have the ability to multi-task effectively and work well as a team member.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately measuring meal ingredients.
- Preparing meal ingredients, which includes seasoning of different meats as well as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits.
- Preparing salads and sauces as directed by the Head Chef.
- Receiving deliveries and verifying that all ordered items have been delivered and are of good quality.
- Taking inventory of restaurant supplies and notifying the Head Chef of low or depleted supplies.
- Discarding all expired and spoiled food items stored in the stock rooms, refrigerators, and freezers.
- Performing basic cleaning duties and ensuring that workstations are properly sanitized.
- Plating and presenting meal items as per the Head Chef’s instructions.
Chef Requirements:
- Associate’s degree, diploma, or certification in culinary arts is advantageous.
- At least 1 year or more of kitchen food preparation and handling required.
- Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations.
- The ability to stand for extended periods.
- The ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills.
