About the Role
As a Level 3 Childcare Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting children’s learning and development, ensuring their safety and well-being, and providing an inclusive, nurturing environment where every child can thrive. This role will be based in a room, with an 80/20 split in the Office.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, observe, and assess children’s learning in line with the EYFS framework
- Build strong, effective partnerships with parents and carers
- Promote children’s independence, curiosity, and holistic development
- Safeguard and protect children, following all policies and procedures
- Work as part of a professional, collaborative team
- Create engaging, stimulating learning environments
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to children’s learning journeys
- Uphold high standards of care, professionalism, and excellent communication skills
- Opening and Closing shifts 7.00-4.00pm and 9.00am-6.00pm
- Key holder responsibilities
Requirements
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 12 months post-qualification experience in an early years setting
- Strong, up-to-date knowledge of the EYFS
- Competency in safeguarding and child protection practices
- Paediatric First Aid certification (desirable or willingness to obtain ASAP)
- DSL (desirable or willingness to obtain ASAP)
- Enhanced DBS check (preferably registered on the Update Service)
- Sound understanding of child development
- Experience in planning, observing, and assessing children’s learning
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for providing the best possible experiences for children
