Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Pharmacy Assistant to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will support the pharmacist in providing a safe, efficient, and professional pharmacy service. This role involves working closely with customers, dispensing medication, managing stock, and helping maintain the smooth day-to-day running of the pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the sale and supply of over-the-counter medications and healthcare products.
- Provide excellent customer service and advice under the supervision of the pharmacist.
- Prepare and label prescriptions accurately.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all relevant healthcare and data protection regulations.
- Manage stock levels, including receiving, checking, and storing pharmaceutical deliveries.
- Ensure the pharmacy is clean, organised, and well-stocked at all times.
- Support with administrative tasks such as filing, answering phone calls, and managing repeat prescription requests.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures and company policies.
- Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- The candidate should possess basic IT skills and be capable of using electronic pharmacy systems.
- Knowledge of NHS services and local community health needs.
