Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Production/Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting manufacturing and warehouse operations, ensuring smooth workflow, and maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, good organisational skills, and a proactive attitude towards learning new skills. Previous warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge are advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Operate various production machinery and warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with assembly tasks using hand tools and power tools as required
- Support the movement, loading, and unloading of goods within the warehouse
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area to ensure safety standards are met
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any faults or issues promptly
- Assist with stock control, inventory checks, and recording of materials utilised
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to minimise risk in the workplace
Skills
- Experience working with machinery, hand tools and power tools is desirable
- Ability to perform assembly tasks accurately and efficiently
- Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong awareness of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
