Job Description: Full Time Dental Nurse
Job Overview
We are a newly renovated, modern dental practice with six fully air-conditioned surgeries, providing a comfortable environment for both patients and staff. We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our friendly team. You’ll play a key role in supporting our dentists, ensuring smooth clinical workflows, and delivering excellent patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures and maintain a smooth workflow
- Prepare and sterilise instruments and equipment
- Keep accurate patient records and manage appointments using dental software 'Dentally'
- Provide reassurance to patients and explain procedures clearly
- Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols
- Keep treatment and waiting areas clean and organised
- Stay up to date with training and best practices
Qualifications
- Qualified Dental Nurse with relevant certification or diploma
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask
- Confident IT skills for patient records and scheduling
- Compassionate and professional approach to patient care
- Valid GDC registration is required

- Pay: From £13.50 per hour
- Expected Hours: 40 hours per week
- Schedule : Monday - Friday 40per week

Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including examinations, fillings, extractions, and cosmetic treatments
- Provide compassionate patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort throughout visits
- Manage patient records accurately using IT systems and update treatment notes promptly
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient correspondence, and maintaining clinic supplies
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and infection control protocols at all times
- Communicate effectively with patients and team members to foster a positive and professional environment
Requirements
- Proven experience as a dental nurse or in a similar healthcare support role with a focus on patient care
- Strong communication skills in English to interact confidently with patients and colleagues
- Knowledge of nursing practices, infection control procedures, and dental assisting techniques
- Proficiency in IT systems for managing patient records and appointment scheduling
- Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating initiative and professionalism
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in dental nursing or healthcare support are preferred but not mandatory
