Under the supervision of the Quality Manager, the QA Technician will be accountable for ensuring that all products manufactured at Escatec adhere to established customer and company standards. The role also entails the timely resolution of any non-conforming components.
- Ensure timely resolution of supplier-related issues.
- Oversee the closure of internal quality concerns by identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions, and managing scrap note documentation.
- Investigate customer-reported issues by initiating containment measures, raising 8D reports, and collaborating with relevant team members to resolve problems within the timeframe expected by the customer.
- Support the Quality Manager and other members of the Quality Team in the development, implementation, and maintenance of EUK’s Management Systems.
- Performing audits and training where necessary.
- Other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.
Qualifications / Experience
- Knowledge of quality improvement tools such as 5 Why, structured problem solving (8D etc)
- Knowledge of basic statistical methods used in quality (e.g. Pareto Chart)
- An understanding of quality and workmanship standards (e.g J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610)
- Excellent internal and external communication skills, including report writing.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and ability to negotiate with all levels of the business
- Strong organisation skills, independent & self-motivation and multitasking abilities.
- Detail oriented & proactive nature.
- Strong leadership, communication and analytical skills.
- Experience of working within a demanding commercial or manufacturing environment.
