Overview
As a business we operate two physical stores along side an ecommerce side to the business, under three brands, The Artisan Cakery, Glady's & Ethel's and Ferncrest Trading. The business has multiple Shopify stores as well as selling on several marketplaces in the UK.
We are looking for an ecommerce assistant to start to help expand the online side to our business, after we recently moved locations. Based out of our Glady's & Ethel's store you will be responsible for managing orders, some pick and pack, uploading new products, photographing products, updating and managing the look and feel of our Shopify stores and managing stock with our new inventory system.
This is an exciting new position and we are looking for someone with online experience, especially with Shopify. This is an ideal opportunity for someone to start early with the business and help to build and shape it's future and hopefully grow with the business.
Ideal working hours would be 9-3pm Monday to Friday, however there can be some flexibility on this as well as some hours can be worked from home.
Duties
- Manage and update product listings across various online platforms, ensuring accuracy and optimisation for search engines (SEO).
- Develop and implement strategies for increasing online visibility, including optimisation of product descriptions, images, and keywords.
- Photograph and manage new and existing lines.
- Regular updates on our Shopify websites.
- Manage and help create a seamless stock system.
- Pick and pack orders when required.
- Work alongside the company director on the future of the ecommerce side of the business.
- Work with our social media manager on campaigns and stock.
- On occasions you may also be require to work in our retail stores.
Requirements
- Proven experience in ecommerce and use of Shopify.
- Ideally experience with online marketplaces such as ebay and amazon.
- Excellent communication skills in English with the ability to craft engaging content across multiple channels.
- Organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Photography and editing skills ideal, as well as use of Canva.
- Time management skills that enable prioritisation of tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: £14.00 per hour
