At Redefining Dining we are on a growth mission. We are dedicated to delivering an unparalleled hospitality experience while showcasing the best of Welsh cuisine via our brand The Welsh House. We also own and operate Cattle & Co Smokehouses. With venues stretching from Carmarthen to Cardiff and everything in between we have very quickly grown to 11 trading venues.
Due to an internal move we are looking for a General Manager for Cattle & Co Swansea
The Role:
Reporting to the Group Operations Manager, you'll learn all aspects of venue operations to ensure smooth functioning while maximising sales and revenue. Your responsibilities will include:
· Driving a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, fostering a positive work environment where staff feel empowered to deliver exceptional service.
· Monitoring and analysing KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic initiatives to enhance overall performance.
· Collaborating closely with stakeholders to develop and implement business strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
· Acting as a brand ambassador, representing the business in the local community and building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
· Supervising, training, and motivating staff to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency while maintaining service standards through active supervision.
· Implementing revenue-generating ideas and promotions to drive business growth.
· Encouraging staff involvement in promotions, marketing, and upselling to maximise incentives.
· Ensuring all staff possess relevant training qualifications, such as basic food hygiene and COSHH.
· Enforcing company policies, procedures, and licensing regulations to maintain the highest standards of service.
· Keeping abreast of menu specifications, service standards, and promotions, and communicating this information to staff.
· Establishing and maintaining effective employee relations to foster a positive work environment.
· Conducting administrative tasks, including payroll processing, stock control, and scheduling, to ensure efficient operations.
· Staying abreast of industry trends and developments, adapting strategies and tactics accordingly to maintain competitiveness and drive growth.
· Taking a proactive approach to problem-solving, addressing issues promptly and effectively to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
· Leading by example, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic in all interactions with staff and customers.
Preferred Qualifications:
While not mandatory, the following attributes would be advantageous:
· Welsh speaker
· Event management experience
· Stock taking skills
· Previous supervisory or managerial experience in a hospitality setting.
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
· Familiarity with Epos or similar systems, or a willingness to learn.
