Palace House Nursing Home is currently seeking a Self-Employed Senior Care Assistant to join our dedicated care team within a high-quality nursing home environment, working across day and night shifts as required.

Palace House Nursing Home is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Self-Employed Senior Care Assistant to join our supportive team. What you’ll be doing:
You will take a key leadership role during both day and night shifts, ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate, and high-quality care at all times. This includes supporting and guiding care staff, administering medication safely, monitoring residents’ wellbeing, and ensuring accurate handovers and documentation between shifts. You will also help maintain a calm, respectful, and supportive environment for residents throughout the day and night.
What we’re looking for:
We are seeking someone with experience in elderly care, ideally in a senior or supervisory role within a care home setting. You should be confident in care planning, record keeping, and medication administration, with strong leadership and communication skills. Above all, you will be caring, reliable, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of dignity and professionalism.
A Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable, and full training support may be available for the right candidate.
