What will your day look like?
As a Cremation Technician, no two days are the same. You'll play a vital role in delivering a professional, respectful, and dignified cremation service for bereaved families. Your day will involve preparing and operating cremation equipment, carrying out routine maintenance and safety checks, managing cremation records, and ensuring all statutory and environmental requirements are met.
Working closely with the wider bereavement services team, funeral directors, and bereaved families, you'll help ensure services run smoothly, looking after the chapel and media systems, support the preparation of memorials, and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and care throughout the crematorium and grounds. Above all, you'll take pride in providing a compassionate and dignified service at some of the most important moments in people's lives.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a reliable, conscientious, and compassionate individual who understands the importance of delivering high standards of care and professionalism within a bereavement setting. You will have excellent attention to detail, a strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance, and the ability to follow procedures accurately and sensitively. The successful candidate will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, with good organisational and communication skills. Experience in a technical, operational, or maintenance-based role is desirable, although full training will be provided through the ICCM. Above all, we are seeking someone who takes pride in their work and is committed to treating every person and every process with dignity, respect, and care.
