We are looking for 2 reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistants to join our friendly team at Betsy Clara Nursing Home. This is a rewarding role where you will help provide nutritious, high-quality meals to our residents while maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and food safety.
Working as part of our kitchen team, you will play an important role in supporting the wellbeing and happiness of our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and serving of meals and refreshments.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Ensure food hygiene and health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Support the Chef and kitchen team with daily tasks.
- Help receive and store deliveries appropriately.
- Assist in meeting residents' dietary requirements and preferences.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a positive, caring, and hardworking attitude.
- Enjoys working as part of a team.
- Can work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Has good communication skills.
- Understands the importance of hygiene and food safety.
- Previous kitchen or catering experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
This role will involve working 3 days one week and 4 days the following week. Overtime is sometimes available too.
These shifts may be subject to change, and you may be required to work alternative shift patterns dependant on operational requirements.
