Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service delivery.
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, from ingredient selection to plating, ensuring consistency and high-quality presentation.
- Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting guest preferences.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards, sanitation regulations, and proper handling procedures.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs without compromising quality.
- Train team members on cooking techniques, food safety protocols, and hospitality best practices.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced culinary environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Extensive background in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques across diverse cuisines.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively and motivate staff toward shared goals.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and sanitation procedures.
- Previous restaurant experience with a focus on serving guests in a high-volume setting.
- Familiarity with managing inventory, controlling costs, and maintaining quality standards in a busy kitchen environment.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a passion for hospitality and culinary excellence.
- Level 2 food hygiene
Working days are Wednesday to Sunday.
Part-time position leads to full-time hours later on.
Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
