Overall Job Purpose:
As a Welder, you are responsible for welding and burning duties as required by the management team.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
- To maintain a Controlled Exclusion zone including welding screens
- Ensure the Quality of the constructed Works complies with the agreed Specification and, where you are aware it does not, immediately raise potential Non Conformities with the Works Supervisor
- Keep accurate records and provide necessary data in suitable and sufficient detail to maximise financial recovery
- To carry out any other suitable duties, tasks or work elements as reasonably required and instructed by management
- To always act with zero tolerance of unsafe working practices, behaviours, conditions and plant
- To report Hazard and Near Misses accurately and at the earliest stage
- To promote a positive Company image to all stakeholders
- Ensure all appropriate PPE is worn at all times
- To understand and ensure that the Works are carried out strictly in accordance with the approved Project specific: Method Statements, Task Sheets, Risk Assessments, Lift Plan, Inspection and Test Plan and Drawings
General Company Responsibilities and Duties:
· Personal and team adherence to existing working practices, methods and procedures, undertake relevant training and development activities and respond positively to new and alternative systems
· Proactive approach to Health Safety and Environment and co-operate with the Company’s HSE Manager with relevant Health, Safety and Environment legislation, policies, and processes
· Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines where appropriate
Desired Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Construction knowledge and experience
- CSCS Plant Operator Card
- CPCS Site Welder
- CPCS Abrasive Wheels
- Coded Welding- MIG and Stick
- Slinger Signaller
- MEWP
- Fabrication
Hours and Environment:
7:30am till 5pm. Minimum of 45 hrs per week. Due to the nature of this role, employees are expected to be co-operative in working outside their normal hours as necessary to cope with varying situations and workloads.
