Senior Project Accountant at Green Molecule Technologies (GMT)
Full Time – GMT HQ, Peterborough
GMT is hiring a Senior Project Accountant to join the Finance Team, reporting into the Chief Financial Officer.
To work closely with the Head of Finance within a small busy accounts department, providing accurate and relevant financial analysis to the project delivery team. Encompassing Statutory and consolidated accounts.
To provide relevant support in the form of progress reports to every area of the GMT organisation. Based at the Company’s offices in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire but will require occasional travel to project sites.

The Role:
We are seeking a Senior Project Accountant to assist the Finance Team and the Chief Financial Officer .
This role, based in Peterborough with a level of WFH, involves preparing project reports, project cost accounting, and management accounts. Responsibilities include assisting with budgets, forecasts, audit schedules, and cash flow reporting.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management pack and all associated schedules.
- Assist in preparation of year-end audit schedules and liaise with auditors in relevant areas such as Capex & inventory valuation and tax compliance.
- Preparation of consolidated entity reporting.
- Cash flow reporting on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Ad-hoc tasks as required.
- To Develop, monitor compliance with Company policies and procedures including, but not limited to, ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO27001.

Your experience and skills
- Qualified ACCA/CIMA.
- Proven experience in the preparation of accounts for long term construction projects.
- Commercial management and knowledge of basic legal requirements.
- Experience of managing junior team members.
- Experience of a major ERP (minimum requirement).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data manipulation via Pivot tables data look ups etc.
- Experience of working on major Infrastructure projects, within Oil & gas, Energy, Renewables or similar industry.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good time-management skills (e.g. organisation, prioritisation, self-starter).
- Ability to set and work to tight deadlines, meet project deadlines while maintaining high quality standards.
