Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Fitters Mate to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will assist experienced kitchen fitters in installing, repairing, and maintaining kitchen units, cabinets, appliances, and associated fixtures. Your energetic approach and willingness to learn will contribute to smooth project execution and high-quality results. Responsibilities
- Assist senior kitchen fitters with the installation of kitchen cabinets, countertops, appliances, and fixtures
- Prepare work areas by cleaning, measuring, and setting up necessary tools and materials
- Handle a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during installation tasks
- Support with cutting, shaping, and fitting components using carpentry, masonry, or fabrication techniques as needed
- Follow schematics, plans, and technical drawings to ensure accurate placement of kitchen elements
- Help with surface preparation including plastering and construction painting to achieve a polished finish
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to health and safety standards at all times
Requirements
- Prior construction experience or hands-on experience with building trades such as carpentry, masonry, or fabrication is preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in construction projects
- Basic understanding of schematics and technical drawings
- Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, electrical systems, welding, or masonry is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
- Willingness to learn new skills related to kitchen fitting and general construction tasks
