Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to manage a nursery environment effectively. This role requires strong communication skills in English, as well as the ability to foster a safe and engaging atmosphere for children. The Childcare Provider will play a crucial role in supporting children's development and well-being.
Duties
- Manage daily activities within the nursery, ensuring a structured yet flexible environment.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to promote a collaborative atmosphere.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that stimulate learning and creativity.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and nap times to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Assist and support children with personal care requirements. This may include changing nappies. assisting with toileting needs, changing clothes and shoes and helping with mealtimes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the nursery space, ensuring all areas are child-friendly.
- Drive children to various activities or appointments as required (a valid driving licence is preferred).
- To always abide by all policies and procedures in place within the setting and be aware of OFSTED requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality for staff and children and comply with the requirements of the Information Commissioners Office regarding Data Protection.
- To be aware of the settings Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy (training will be provided)
Experience
- Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage groups of children effectively while maintaining a positive environment.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Experience working with children of various ages, understanding their developmental needs.
