RESPONSIBILITIES
To work as a hotel housekeeper, you will need to have a strong eye for detail. Housekeeping although hard, it certainly has its rewards, we have some fantastic teams that will help you along the way. You are the often the face of the hotel and the guests first interaction with the brand, so it helps if hotel housekeepers have good interpersonal and communication skills. Hotel housekeepers spend long hours standing on their feet, cleaning and dusting.
THE JOB ROLE CONSISTS OF
- Clean corridors, lobbies, stairways, elevators and lounges as well as guest rooms
- Distribute linen, towels and room supply using wheeled carts or by hand
- Restock room supplies such as drinking glasses, soaps and shampoos.
- Replace dirty linen with clean items
- Inspect and turn mattresses regularly
- Store all dirty laundry in line with company policy
- Replace laundry bags and slips
- Check all appliances in rooms are in working order
- Realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout
- Respond to guest queries and requests
- Respond to calls for housekeeping problems such as spills, broken glasses
- Deliver any requested housekeeping items to guest rooms
- Organise and restock cart at the end of the shift
- Ensure confidentiality and security of guest rooms
- Follow all company safety and security procedures
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards
- Observe and report damage of hotel property
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE
- Previous experience as a Hotel Housekeeper
