About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Plant Fitter / Vehicle Mechanic to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanic who enjoys working on a variety of plant machinery and commercial vehicles in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a range of plant equipment and vehicles to ensure they remain safe, reliable, and operational.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on plant machinery and vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine faults.
- Perform inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Complete breakdown repairs efficiently to minimise downtime.
- Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard and in line with health and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Keep the workshop clean, organised, and compliant with company standards.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Plant Fitter, Vehicle Mechanic, HGV Technician, Agricultural Engineer, or similar.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Experience working with diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience with excavators, dumpers, telehandlers, rollers, or commercial vehicles.
- Welding or fabrication experience is an advantage but not essential.

- 47.5 Hours per Week (Monday-Friday 7am - 5pm) - Negotiable
- Overtime Available
- From £40,000 per year
