Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised care plans tailored to each child's needs, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being is prioritised.
- Support children with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and recreational pursuits, encouraging independence and self-confidence.
- Engage in meaningful communication with children to understand their needs, preferences, and concerns, fostering trust and positive relationships.
- Assist with transportation duties by driving clients safely to appointments, activities, or outings when required.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, progress notes, and any incidents in line with organizational policies.
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and other professionals to ensure consistent support and effective care planning.
- Promote a safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and safeguarding protocols at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children or young people in a care or childcare setting is highly desirable.
- Valid driving license and access to a car.
- Strong communication skills are essential for building rapport with clients, families, and team members.
- Knowledge of care plans development and implementation ensures tailored support for each individual’s needs.
- Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and reporting is advantageous.
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s development combined with patience, empathy, and resilience will help you succeed in this role.

Pay: £12.71-£14.60 per hour
