We are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our team as a Research Associate. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the advanced biomanufacturing company Holiferm, based in Manchester, within a dynamic and inclusive environment.
You will be responsible for:
- Working alongside fermentation process development engineers, molecular biologists, and process optimisation specialists.

Conducting individual and collaborative research and system development for the project.

Support the aims of the project funded by IBIC. This innovative project aims to overcome current limitations in biosurfactant production by developing robust, thermotolerant yeast strains and scalable fermentation processes.

About You

Essential Criteria:
- The ideal candidate will have excellent microbiology, molecular biology and fermentation skills

Experience of yeasts biotechnology and strain development
Desirable Criteria:
- A background in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology or related subjects

Experience of collaborative project between Academia and Industries
