Butchery Production Assistant - Full training provided
Daily Working Hours : 7.45 am - 5.30 pm
Permanent position, full time/part time available
Options available for working:
3* days (28 hours approx)*
or 4 days (37 hours approx)
or 5 days (46 hours approx).
Days will vary from week to week to meet the needs of the business - must be available to cover the working week of Monday - Saturday
COMPANY OVERVIEW:
Primacy Farm Butchers is owned by the Bowman family and the farm, which has been in the family for over 30 years, supplies the Food Village, based in Bangor.
The Company has won many prestigious awards over the years including N. Ireland Butcher of the Year and the UK Butchers Plus Award, NI Farm Shop of the Year etc and this has been achieved with a combined excellence of product and staff.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
This is a hands-on role in a busy food production environment, working with quality meat products as part of a production team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in doing a job properly, works well with others and maintains high standards of quality, hygiene and food safety. If you enjoy practical work and would like to build or continue a career in butchery and food production, we'd like to hear from you (full training will be provided to those keen to learn a trade).
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manufacture Sausages and Burgers, following set recipes and procedures
Preparing, trimming, cutting and portioning meat to required specifications
Use knives, butchery equipment and production machinery safely
Maintain Stock levels
Stock Intake & Rotation
Weigh, pack and label products
Serve customers in butchery department as required
To ensure that the working area is clean to the highest standards, e.g. machines, surfaces, fridges etc.
Involves heavy lifting and is a physical role
To assist in any other relevant duties as required.
