The Outpatients Department within the Neurorehabilitation Service supports around 15 outpatient clinics per week and provides treatment
to patients suffering from various neurological disorders. The clinics are facilitated by a wide range of medical and clinical staff.
The successful candidate will work well within a team and will be looking to develop their administrative and communication skills in a busy
reception environment, offering a warm, professional welcome and paying particular attention to detail when booking multiple appointments of differing natures and timescales. The successful candidate will work within the admin team and provide crossover on Receptions.
The ideal candidate should have excellent communication, customer service and organisational skills, as well as a working knowledge of office
procedures including IT skills.
You should currently hold the required level of qualifications, as outlined in the Essential Criteria of the Personal Specification. If you do not meet
this criteria you may not be shortlisted.
- The professional meet, greet and check-in of service users
- Booking/rearrangement of appointments by closely following local training guidelines, being mindful of prescribed treatment timescales
and the requests of medical/clinical staff
- Communicating at all levels, with high volumes of telephone calls from service users
- Accurately updating patient details within RiO (the Trust's patient information system)
- Formatting documents
- Scanning and uploading
- Dealing with correspondence
- Assisting with ad hoc requests
- Experience of Microsoft Office and working within an administrative environment are essential to the post. Knowledge of RiO is
desirable.
The post holder will also undertake additional duties such as ordering supplies, requesting repairs and updating rotas and duty sheets. This list is not exhaustive.
