A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are preferred for this role.
At 1st Choice Housing Solutions, we are seeking dedicated support staff to join our team on a part-time or full-time basis to work with young people in Supported Accommodation in Bradford, Leeds, Halifax and Huddersfield areas.

- Full-time / Part-time Support Workers – providing support within semi-independent supported living accommodation.
Key Responsibilities
As a Support Worker for young people aged 16+, your main duties will include:
- Assisting and supporting young people to develop independent living skills such as budgeting, shopping, meal preparation, cleaning, and preparing CVs.
- Upholding duty of care and safeguarding responsibilities, taking all reasonable steps to ensure the safety and wellbeing of young people.
- Liaising directly with social workers and other health professionals to provide consistent, holistic support.
- Engaging with local organisations and community services to help young people access education, employment, health, advocacy, and training opportunities.
- Providing personalised, high-quality support that meets each young person’s emotional, cultural, social, and physical needs.
Essential criteria:
- A strong belief in promoting equality, inclusion, and the rights of looked after young people. Previous paid experience of working in a childcare or support work setting, or a role/s where there are transferable skills
- Good communication and IT skills
Desirable:
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification relevant to working with young people
- Level 3/4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner ( or willingness to work towards it) .
