Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute purchasing strategies for garden centre merchandise, ensuring alignment with seasonal trends and customer preferences.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers through effective negotiation to secure favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Manage procurement processes
- Coordinate logistics and supply chain activities to ensure timely stock replenishment while minimizing excess inventory.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to forecast demand accurately and adjust purchasing plans accordingly.
- Monitor supplier performance regularly and resolve any issues related to delivery delays or product quality promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in buying or merchandising within a retail or garden centre environment is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure advantageous terms from suppliers.
- Familiarity with logistics, supply chain operations, and inventory control best practices.
