Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver and Office Furniture Installer to join our team. This role involves transporting office furniture safely and efficiently to various locations, as well as assisting with the installation process. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, excellent communication skills, and the physical ability to handle heavy lifting. Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, to deliver office furniture to clients’ premises.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods, adhering to scheduled routes and deadlines.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of furniture, employing proper lifting techniques to manage heavy items.
- Install office furniture according to specifications, ensuring proper assembly and placement within client premises.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding delivery times and address any concerns or queries professionally.
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after journeys, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for record-keeping purposes.
- Follow all health and safety regulations during transportation and installation activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably within commercial or office furniture sectors.
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record; a <PERSON> driver qualification is highly desirable.
- Experience in commercial driving and warehouse operations is advantageous.
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and manual handling of furniture items.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
- Organised, punctual, and capable of managing multiple deliveries efficiently.
