Overview
We're looking for a proactive, hands-on North Farm Caretaker to help maintain and enhance our beautiful estate. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in delivering high standards, enjoys working outdoors, and thrives in a varied role.
As a key member of our Estate Team, you'll help ensure our grounds, buildings, and visitor areas are presented to an exceptional standard while contributing to a welcoming environment for guests and colleagues alike.
What You'll Be Doing
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining estate grounds, including grass cutting, strimming, verge maintenance, weeding, watering, and litter picking.
- Keeping car parks, public areas, pathways, and service yards clean, safe, and well-presented.
- Carrying out general maintenance tasks such as fence and gate repairs, gutter inspections, window cleaning, and replacing external light bulbs.
- Caring for flowerbeds, planted areas, greenhouse plants, and seasonal displays.
- Welcoming visitors and directing them to estate facilities, including the Vineyard Barn, Pumphouse accommodation, shop, restaurant, and tours.
- Maintaining tools, vehicles, and plant equipment to ensure they remain safe and operational.
- Completing routine inspections, maintaining accurate records, and following all Health & Safety procedures.
- Working collaboratively with the wider Estate team to deliver a first-class visitor experience.

- Has practical maintenance or groundskeeping experience.
- Is reliable, organised, and able to work independently.
- Takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
- Has excellent attention to detail.
- Is friendly, approachable, and confident interacting with visitors.
- Holds a full UK driving licence.
