Ivy Mill Day Nursery, a unique family owned independent setting located in an idyllic village centre location in Liphook, Hampshire are recruiting for a part time Housekeeping Assistant.

Opened in late 2022, we are a Steiner influenced setting and hold great value in learning through play and in the environment. We have designed a setting to inspire and captivate young minds and imaginations and we are seeking a team member to join us now at this exciting time of our progression.
The Role:
The position is 15 hours per week.
January 2026 start
Monday - Friday, 3 hour shifts, 3:00pm – 6pm. All year round position
We are a year round nursery, so open 51 weeks of the year.
As a Housekeeping Assistant, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Serving a light tea for the children, (pre-prepared & delivered by Caterers) taking into account individual’s dietary needs and requirements
- Loading & Emptying Dishwasher, ensuring all crockery etc is stored away correctly
- Light laundry duties, putting flannels, tea towels, bibs, blankets, on to wash, hanging washing on frames to dry & storing away clean dry laundry
- Replenishing stock such as paper towels, hand soap, toilet rolls
- General Cleaning and Sanitising of surfaces
- Hoovering
- Mopping
- Emptying bins at end of day
- Cleaning & Sanitising of Children & Staff WC facilities
- Daily weekly & monthly cleaning jobs across the nursery to fulfil
To establish a routine to filter in cleaning jobs daily across the nursery, in addition to the main everyday cleaning jobs. Organisation and being flexible is essential.
To be warm and friendly natured due to the nature of the business.
Minimum qualification level 2 in Food Hygiene. For the right applicant we can assist with obtaining this prior to starting.
All staff must have a full enhanced DBS check and be registered to the update service. For the right candidate we can assist with obtaining this prior to starting.
