Duties
- Operate and maintain welding equipment to complete structural and repair tasks.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised machinery to carry out carpentry, masonry, roofing, and other construction-related activities.
- Assist in the installation and repair of building components, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manoeuvre materials safely around work sites.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with equipment or structural elements.
- Support commercial driving duties as required for transporting materials or equipment between sites.
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently during all operations.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to high standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in welding, carpentry, masonry, roofing, or related trades is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical systems.
- Experience in heavy lifting and physically demanding roles.
- Previous work involving commercial driving is advantageous but not essential.
- Knowledge of safety regulations relevant to construction or maintenance environments.
