Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Therapist/Hygienist to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, promoting oral health, and supporting the overall functioning of our dental team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough dental hygiene assessments and provide personalised oral health advice to patients
- Perform professional cleaning procedures, including scaling and polishing
- Assist with dental procedures by preparing patients and ensuring comfort throughout treatments
- Utilise CAD software for designing dental restorations or appliances when required
- Capture and interpret medical images such as X-rays to aid diagnosis and treatment planning
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with data protection regulations
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies
- Support the dental team in organising appointments and managing patient flow effectively
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Dental Therapist or Hygienist within a clinical setting
- Familiarity with CAD software applications relevant to dentistry
- Experience in medical imaging techniques, including X-ray interpretation
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, particularly oral and maxillofacial structures
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to reassure and educate patients effectively
- Organisation skills to manage multiple appointments efficiently
