Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for food preparation and cooking, with a proven track record in a professional kitchen environment. The Senior Chef de Partie will be responsible for supervising specific sections within the kitchen, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, and supporting our Head Chef.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in line with established recipes and presentation standards
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and consistency
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
- Assist in the development of new menu items and seasonal specials
- Supervise, mentor, and support junior kitchen staff to foster a collaborative working environment
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimise waste
- Ensure all food is prepared and served in accordance with health and safety standards
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to uphold the restaurant’s culinary vision and standards
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen, ideally within a restaurant or hotel setting
- Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation
- Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Previous experience in supervising or mentoring junior staff is desirable
- Good understanding of restaurant operations and customer service principles
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
