Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Unqualified Teacher to join our educational team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in working within the education sector, particularly with children and young people. The position involves supporting classroom activities, assisting with specialised programmes, and fostering a positive learning environment. No formal teaching qualification is required; however, a genuine interest in education and working with individuals with disabilities is essential. The successful candidate will be committed to nurturing students' development and providing mentorship in a supportive setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist qualified teachers in delivering educational activities across various subjects, including creative writing and specialised programmes.
- Support students with diverse needs, including those with autism and other disabilities, ensuring an inclusive learning environment.
- Engage with children through tutoring, mentoring, and personalised support to promote their academic and social development.
- Contribute to the planning and organisation of classroom activities, ensuring they are engaging and suitable for individual learning needs.
- Foster positive behaviour and encourage participation among students by employing effective communication skills.
- Support students during breaks and organise recreational activities that promote social interaction.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour as directed by qualified staff.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop inclusive teaching strategies tailored to individual requirements.
Skills
- Experience in special education, working with children or individuals with disabilities.
- Knowledge of working with individuals with autism or other special needs is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods creatively to meet diverse learning styles.
- Previous experience in tutoring or mentoring roles is desirable.
- Organised, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting young learners.
- Creative writing skills can enhance lesson planning and student engagement.
- Enthusiasm for professional development within the education sector.
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum
- Teaching experience is preferrable
