Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Dumper Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating dumpers and other heavy machinery to support construction and excavation projects. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, commercial driving experience, and the ability to work safely in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities
- Operate dumpers and other heavy machinery such as excavators in accordance with safety protocols and project requirements
- Transport materials efficiently across construction sites, ensuring timely delivery to designated locations
- Perform routine checks on equipment, identifying and reporting any mechanical issues promptly
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks, including lubrication and minor repairs as needed
- Follow site safety procedures at all times to maintain a secure working environment
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate activities and optimise operational efficiency
- Maintain accurate records of materials moved and equipment usage during shifts
Experience
- Previous experience operating dumpers or similar heavy machinery is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting minor equipment issues
- Proven experience in commercial driving, with valid licences relevant to heavy vehicle operation
- Familiarity with excavation sites or construction environments is preferred
- A responsible attitude towards safety and adherence to health and safety regulations is essential
