Huntingdon House School is a new independent special school supporting pupils aged 10–16 with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). We are looking for two reliable, hardworking and trustworthy Cleaners to join our friendly team and help provide a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our pupils and staff.
We have two part-time vacancies available, both working Monday to Friday during term time:
Vacancy 1
- 2 hours per day
- 6.30am – 8.30am
- Monday to Friday
Vacancy 2
- 3 hours per day
- 6.30am – 9.30am
- Monday to Friday
There will be reduced hours during the school holidays, with additional flexibility available if required.
Start Date: End of August 2026
About the Role
Working as part of our school team, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school premises. Your duties will include:
- Cleaning classrooms, offices and communal areas.
- Cleaning toilets and welfare facilities.
- Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors.
- Dusting and wiping surfaces.
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
- Replenishing cleaning supplies and consumables.
- Ensuring cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly.
- Reporting any maintenance or health and safety concerns.
- Helping to maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Is reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
- Can work independently and manage their time effectively.
- Has a positive and flexible attitude.
- Understands the importance of confidentiality and professionalism within a school environment.
- Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
