As we continue to scale, we're looking for an exceptional Head of Events to lead and elevate our fast-growing event operation.
The Opportunity
This is not a typical events role.
As Head of Events, you will own the strategy, planning, delivery, and commercial performance of 20+ events per month, ranging from intimate workshops and mastermind sessions to large-scale conferences, trade shows, networking events, client experiences, and industry exhibitions.
You will lead a growing events team, work closely with senior leadership, sales and marketing departments, and develop strategic sponsorship and partnership opportunities that drive revenue and enhance the Trade Mastermind brand.

Create unforgettable experiences that generate results, strengthen customer loyalty, and position Trade Mastermind as the leading events brand within the construction and business education sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Event Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute the overall events strategy for Trade Mastermind.
- Lead the planning and delivery of 20+ monthly events.
- Ensure every event aligns with company objectives, growth targets, and brand standards.
- Create innovative attendee experiences that increase engagement and retention.
- Introduce new event concepts, formats, and revenue opportunities.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Events Team.
- Create clear processes, KPIs, and accountability frameworks.
- Recruit, train, and support team members as the department expands.
- Provide strong on-the-ground leadership during live events.
Commercial Growth & Partnerships
- Develop sponsorship packages and strategic brand partnerships.
- Build relationships with suppliers, sponsors, exhibitors, and industry stakeholders.
- Create new revenue streams through events, exhibitions, partnerships, and experiences.
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing teams to maximise attendance, conversions, and customer lifetime value.
Event Delivery & Operations
- Oversee event logistics from concept through to execution.
- Manage venue operations, AV production, catering, registration, and attendee experience.
- Ensure every event is delivered to the highest standard.
- Act as the senior point of escalation during live events.
Budget & Financial Management
- Own and manage event budgets.
- Forecast and track expenditure.
- Negotiate supplier and vendor contracts.
- Maximise ROI while delivering premium event experiences.
Reporting & Performance Analysis
- Track attendance, engagement, commercial results, and customer feedback.
- Produce monthly performance reports for senior leadership.
- Implement continuous improvements based on data and insights.
- Measure event ROI against business objectives.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- 5+ years' experience in senior event management roles.
- Experience managing a high volume of events.
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams.
- Strong commercial understanding and budget management skills.
- Excellent project management and organisational abilities.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working closely with Sales and Marketing departments.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Experience scaling an events department.
