The Kandy Bar Bakery is a family owned and run award winning bakery business in Saltcoats. We have 4 shops and a café which are stocked from our own craft bakery in Saltcoats. We are fast-paced, fun and our goal is to provide a great product with exceptional service in a friendly manner.

Job Title: Café & Take Away Assistant
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Take customer orders and process payments
- Prepare and serve food and beverages
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, take away and café areas
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies
- Follow health and safety guidelines in food preparation and handling
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional manner
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a customer service or food service role is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Basic math skills for cash handling
- Knowledge of food safety regulations is a plus

NORMAL SET WORKING HOURS - 30 and a quarter per week worked over 4 days
Mon 8.00-5.00
Tue 8.00-5.00
Wed 11.30-5.00 (alternate with Sat)
Thu 8.30-5.00
Sat 12.00-5.15 (alternate with Wed)
You are required to work Wed and Sat when your back to back is on holiday along with a reasonable amount of overtime to cover holidays and busy trading periods, to meet the needs of the business. We pay weekly on a Friday and work to a 4 week rota.
