What you'll be doing
You will gain a formal Apprenticeship and attain the standard of SJIB Graded Electrician.
Throughout your Apprenticeship, you will attend College blocks and develop your portfolio throughout the academic year.
Your role will include installation of HV plant and apparatus at all voltage levels from 33Kv to 400Kv, including bushbars and connectors, switchgear, transformers ground earthing, hot tinning, mechanical bending/forming, erection of aluminium and steel structures as well as the installation of cables.
Based on site, you will learn to resolve problems in conjunction with the site supervisor/managers ensuring all site procedures are being followed. You will learn to adhere to safety and relevant industry standards.
Who we're looking for
For our SCQF Level 7 Apprenticeship, delivered by SECTT in Electrical Installation, you’ll need Maths, English and Science at National 5 or above.
This programme offers a mix of practical experience and theoretical learning, with a focus on more technical or specialized roles to help you build expertise.
